We’re incredibly proud to have been awarded a gold medal and ‘by the glass’ award for our Classic Cuvée at the Sommelier Wine Awards this month.

The Award’s team leader and wine writer Simon Woods described our Classic Cuvée as ‘clean, crisp and juicy, with a really good honest style that’s toasty with nice balance. It has an almost Sauvignon-like herbal edge.’

English wines competing on a global scale

Our 2016 Coleridge Hill white wine also received a bronze medal for its ‘clean, green mineral aromas and mineral freshness on the palate’, while our 2015 was commended by the judges.

Each of our English wines is produced here at our Gloucestershire vineyard, and we’re very proud to stand out against wines from across the world.

Our wine-maker Martin Fowke said: ‘To be awarded medals in an international competition is something to be proud of, and should give more people the confidence to choose English wine when dining out.’
