Our Gloucestershire vineyard with its winery, restaurant and rooms is nestled deep in the idyllic Cotswolds and on the edge of the ancient Forest of Dean.

Gloucester Cathedral

Gloucester Cathedral near Three Choirs Vineyards

Formally the Cathedral Church of St Peter and the Holy and Indivisible Trinity, Gloucester Cathedral sits in the north of the city, by the River Severn. It originated in 678-679 and is deemed one of the most beautiful buildings in the United Kingdom.

The cathedral is open daily, between 7.30am – 6pm, and entry is free.

The Three Choirs Festival

Three Choirs Festival near Three Choirs Vineyards

Between 23 – 30 July 2016, the 301-year old Three Choirs Festival arrives in Gloucester for a week-long programme of choral and orchestral concerts, music recitals, masterclasses, theatre, exhibitions and walks.

The festival will return in 2018 at nearby Hereford (28 July – 4 August 2018).

Newent town

Within 10 minutes of the vineyard lies the pretty market town, Newent. Its buildings date back to the 13th century and are protected by the town centre’s conservation area. Nearby is Newton Lake, a peaceful attraction that is home to a range of wildlife.

Newent Onion Fayre

Newent Onion Fayre

Gloucestershire’s largest, free, one-day festival, Newent Onion Fayre, takes place on 10 September 2016. With a history tracing back to the 13th century, the event offers live street entertainment, animal displays, fairground rides, lakeside activities and over 100 stands selling arts, plants and fine local fayre.

International Centre of Birds of Prey

The International Centre of Birds of Prey near Three Choirs Vineyards

The International Centre of Birds of Prey is the oldest birds of prey centre in the world. Its 11-acre home includes grounds to wander around, aviaries of exotic birds of prey and owls and flying demonstrations. The centre is open 10.30am – 5.30pm (March – October), 10.30am – 4.30pm (November and February) and closed in December and January.
