First Release 2017
‘First 2017’ Release
Due to a high-quality harvest we are excited to announce the release of a limited edition, 2017 vintage “First Release” still white wine on 1st December 2017.
The last time we produced a new release was back in 2011. At that time, it was a tongue-in-cheek link to Beaujolais Nouveau Day and now seems to be the right time to set our own date. We could also argue that England could be the only success story in the world of wine in 2017! It has been a very challenging year with difficult harvests for so many wine regions, but we’re delighted to report that here at Three Choirs we have had one of our largest and highest quality vintages ever.
We are making just 2017 bottles, and numbering each. We are offering a 6-bottle case of the wine to several local charities, to give them the opportunity to raffle or auction in order to raise funds.
Win a case
To celebrate the release we are also running a competition to win a case for yourself and a case for a charity of your choice. We are asking you to send us the most interesting set of 6 numbers between 1 and 2017 relating to the County of Gloucestershire.
This competition has now closed and the winner was Mr Derek Smokcum. His nominated Charity winner was Community First in Devizes.
Buy a bottle
The first wine from the 2017 vintage, made from Siegerrebe, Solaris and Madeleine Angevine grapes to produce a fresh, aromatic zesty wine with full fruit character on the palate and a crisp dry finish. We have a limited number available to buy in our online shop at £10.00 per bottle.
