We’re always happy to help

  • My voucher has expired! Can I still use it?

All accommodation vouchers that have expired will be converted into their cash value – their purchase price. This value can be used towards anything that we offer at the vineyard until 31/05/2022

Tour & Lunch vouchers will be given a fixed value of £75

The terms and conditions of the voucher will no longer apply. Monetary and £65 brasserie vouchers will still be accepted at their face value.

Should you wish to use an expired voucher towards an overnight stay, please note that we quote room rates on a room only basis. Breakfast can be added as an additional item, as can a winery tour. Expired vouchers can be used for both vineyard view rooms or lodges, the choice is yours!

You will need to give us the full voucher number so that we can advise you of it’s face value. Once you have a date in mind for a future stay, we can tell you what the rate is and what additional amount, if any, will be due.

Not able to stay? No problem! The value of your voucher can be used towards wine sales. Once you know how much your voucher is worth, have a look at our online wine shop for descriptions & prices. Call us directly to place an order, remember to factor in delivery charges.

We no longer offer a Tour with Lunch experience. For those wanting to visit us during the day, we are open on Saturdays & Sundays from February 2022 . We will be taking bookings for wine tastings between 12-4pm. This is £12.50pp. Our brasserie will be open for our tapas- style menu 12-2pm, from 2-4pm our mouth watering cheeseboard will be available. Expired tour & lunch vouchers can be used as £75 cash towards the final bill.

  • Why don’t you see much English wine in supermarkets?

Most English vineyards are relatively small producers and can sell their wines direct to the public or through independent wine merchants.

  • When did Three Choirs Vineyards start producing English wine?

The first vines were planted in 1973 with the first vintage being 1976.

  • Which are the main English wine producing regions in Britain?

English wines are produced all over the country but the main regions are Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, the South East, Hampshire and South West.

  • What is the difference between English Wine and British Wine?

English wine is made from grapes grown in this country and British wine is made from imported grape juice.

  • Do you only offer your tapas menu?

Our ‘Tapas style’ little plates menu is the only menu available. It’s perfect for sharing and grazing throughout your lunch or dinner. Have a selection of different dishes and flavours, all of which complement our range of wines.

We wanted to break away from the same kind of food that is available in gastropubs everywhere these days and offer a different dining experience. Less formal, very much casual dining which reflects the casual, relaxed setting of our vineyards. We hope you enjoy it!

  • I can’t book 1 night on a Saturday, is there a problem?

We have a 2 night minimum policy for stays that include a Saturday. Occasionally 1 night stays become available, such as short dated / last minute availability. The online booking system is updated to reflect any changes, so it’s always worth trying!

  • What is your policy regarding room cancellations?

We require 96 hours or more notice of cancellation to give a full refund or penalty free change to bookings.  If COVID restrictions are imposed that stop us from operating there will be no penalty & a full refund will be offered.

If you need to cancel or move your booking for any reason (including illness & COVID symptoms, travel or weather conditions) and give us less than the required 96 hour’s notice, 1 night’s full room charge will be applied.

  • Do you offer private tours?

Sorry, we no longer offer private tours. The largest group size we will include on a public tour is 6 guests. We will not allow larger groups to split into smaller groups to get around this.

  • Do you cater for Hen / Stag parties?

Sorry, we do not take bookings for Hen or Stag parties.

  • Which is the nearest train station?

Ledbury is closest, about 10 minute drive away, however taxis can be difficult to arrange – there is no taxi rank.

Gloucester is the largest station and is about 30 minutes drive. There is a taxi rank.

The number 132 bus goes from Gloucester to Ledbury and so passes directly past our drive. This can be convenient & inexpensive. It runs every 2 hours

  • Can we get a taxi?

Taxi’s around our area are scarce. There are a couple of firms in Ledbury or Ross on Wye but they need to be booked in advance and can prove very expensive for relatively short trips . There are no taxi firms in Newent.

Taxis going to and from Gloucester are easier to arrange, using Gloucester based firms.

  • When can we check in to our room?

Rooms are ready from 3pm if you are going to arrive after 8pm please let us know.

  • I have ordered a voucher by email, but it's not arrived. I have the order confirmation. What should I do?

We are sorry you haven’t found your e-voucher. The email will be from Wordpress rather than Three Choirs.  Please would you check all junk & spam boxes on your email account. If you still can’t see it, please call or email us & we can arrange for it to be re sent. If you are using a work email address, some businesses block emails from companies selling alcohol, so that could explain it. Please call us and we can change the email address & re-send

  • When is the best time to visit?

We are open all year round. The vineyard looks great in the depths of winter, especially on cold frosty mornings. The vines bud in May, then grow rapidly through June, July & August. September is our busy time with harvest, which goes through into October. So the choice is yours!

  • Can we bring our dog to the vineyard?

Dogs are not allowed in any of the buildings at the vineyard, including any of our rooms & lodges. Well behaved dogs are welcome to join you for a table outside in our courtyard or terrace, and must be kept on a lead at all times. Please do not leave your dog in your car! Our car park is in full sun and has no shade.

  • Are your wines suitable for vegetarians & vegans?

Yes!  Our wines are all suitable for vegetarians & vegans

  • Where can we buy your wine?

If you can’t make it to our Cellar Door, we offer a mail order service. We are in some selected independent wine merchants but for the complete range visit our online shop
